Betreff: CoCut 9; why when I tried to upgrade to a new computer the icon failed to install properly and run. | Name: Tony (tpeloso@didcorp.com) | 25.02.2000 21:43:36
recently why were going to upgrade the computer that the cocut software was on and reinstall it onto a new computer. The software would load but the icon would not work in placing it into a toolbar. Is there an unistall or some sort of chip that has to be turned off on the dongle to get it to reinstall into a different computer? Please let me know asap. Just one other note. Why is it that I have cocut 9, but the icon in application scripts read as cocut 8? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Hello Tony, no, there is no "chip that has to be turned off on the dongle". The only thing you have to look for, when you install a new computer, is the setting of the parallel port: I should be set to "SPP" (or "Standard" or "Normal"). Does CoCut say, that it doesn´t find the dongle (copy protection key) or what is exactly the problem? Depending on the version of CorelDRAW, which is installed on your computer, the script has another number because the functions to export to CoCut are different from version to version.
