I just recently upgraded to WIN XP and also download the latest update for Cocut Standard on my system. Everythin installs fine, but when I go to launch Cocut it gives me an Invalid Number error and it displays the number on my Dongle. Any Idea what I need to do to correct this?

Have you installed the correct version of CoCut? On your CD you find CoCut Standard and CoCut Professional. Have you enter the serial number which is stambed insite of your manual?
I have a similar problem. I am running Winnt on a Pentium 4, Corel 11 with the Cocut service release. It generally runs fine, but every now & then it seems to "get stuck" and not send an image to Cocut. I reboot or re-save and everything works fine again. The other day this happened again and nothing seemed to fix it. I uninstalled/reinstalled cocut and the service release, and when trying to cut, I get an Invalid Codenumber message. (I assure you, I have a correctly registered number & dongle). I then get a dialog box asking for the correct number, I type it in, and get the same Invalid Code Number message again. I even uninstalled/reinstalled Corel & Cocut both, but I get the same thing.
I have the same problem. I have the right version. I have Professional. I have the right Serial Number. But I cant run the software. We have been down all week!!!!!!!!!
Same problem as others - upgraded to XP - now have the "Invalid Code Number" error message. We have other software which requires a dongle/hardlock key - the software manufacturer has new dongle drivers available to enable the software to run on XP. Is this the problem and are they available for Cocut?
The dongle number supplied with CoCut is *NOT* your serial number. CoCut Standard and Pro versions use different serial numbers and are not interchangeable, so please ensure that you install the correct version for YOUR serial number. Serial numbers take the format: 21****-CC11*-*******-****** hope this helps.
I think we all know how to enter the number. What everyone is saying Paul is the number doesnt work. Something is not recognizing the serial numbers in the program or dongle. We arent that stupid.
Ok, a tech from cocut called and explained what Pauls post means. Was not aware of multiple versions of the software on the cd. Someone else had loaded the cd. So after installing the download from the site for our dongle number registration everything came out perfect. Thanks, no longer frustrated.
We upgraded to WinXP over 2 months ago, got the new cocut Pro 12, installed and start working it seems without a problem....Yet this morning without any kind of warning, it stopped and started to give me the "invalid Code" message, I have 1) rebooted 2)took the Parallel dongle out and reinstalled 3) Check for hardware conflicts 3) uninstalled/reinstalled cocut and still get the same exact message that the i have an invalid Authorization number....this has stopped my entire production...any ideas?
There can be two reasons for this error message: 1. The number in brackets is not different from your dongle number In this case you have typed the wrong product number or installed the wrong software. That means you have installed CoCut Standard, for example, although you have a product number for CoCut Professional. You can find the correct number in your manual or on your invoice. 2. The number in brackets is different from your dongle number. If you are using a dongle for the parallel port, first of all delete all the printer drivers connected to the LPT port and remove any devices plugged in behind the dongle. If the error persists after the drivers have been deleted, test the dongle on another computer. If the error occurs on the other computer as well, your dongle has been overwritten and needs replacing. Contact your dealer about this.
Horst, thanks for your response. Going by process of elimination here: 1) I had the program installed and working previously, when i deleted, and re-installed I assure you I used the Professional option to re-install.( I had that problem when i oroginally installed, so i was aware of it) 2)I double check (by removing the dongle) that the first 6 numbers on my serial match the dongle number. I dont have anything connected to my parallel port only the dongle, I use a printer but is connected to the USB port..so i dont have any drivers pointing to that port. I also did a clean install on a different computer using WinXP with same exact results. 3)SO, I would have to assume that the dongle has then been overriden, yet I dont see how we accomplished this. We were in the middle of production when the "invalid codes" message came up. Is there a test to comfirm this? I placed a call to our local dealer on Friday, and its almost noon on Monday and I still havent heard from them. thanks again for your time and courtesy. Oscar
Send me your dongle number, the complete error message with the numbers in the second line, the serial number which you have entered and your phone number to hk@eurosystems.lu please.

I am running CorelDraw12, WinXP Pro and work for a Anheuser-Busch wholesaler who just recently lost my hard drive. I cannot find the version 11 for CoCut Professional disk but have my dongle number. I know I can download the correct version, but I do not have my documentation nor disks/manual to get the correct serial number. This was a co-op purchase through A/B. Ive emailed a few times to CoCut and have never received an answer, so hoping this will shed some light, because I need help, I have lots of jobs piling up and need to do my job. Client has CoCut/Corel 10 feeding a Roland CX24, had it on a Win98, upgraded to WinXP Home, would not work, Moved to new WinXP Pro today, installed all software, installed cp update from website, still get error message the serial number is wrong. Put the dongle on its own port, same response. He has planes that need numbers ASAP! Help?
We upgraded our O/S to windows 7 pro and since then co cut is not getting installed everytime we try to put in the numbers it ends up with the message invalid code number. We have even tried to install via the .ecf file and still ends up with the same problem. Please our buisiness is suffering a lot because of this get back to us with a solution as soon as possible. We do not have any dongle. Version installed from co cut website is 14.0.15.
