Betreff: Plans for a newer Cocut? | Name: Tim (timd1971@hotmail.com) | 03.03.2003 20:09:29
Are there ANY plans for a newer version of Cocut PRO that is built around XP? Such as a updated user interface that follows Microsoft guidelines? The existing versions interface are still way behind (16bit?). The main thing I dont like and have thought was "goofy" was the icons used... especially the "glove". Cocut would be more professional looking if it followed the look of say other high end programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc. Every perosn i have run into that has used Cocut has felt the same about it. I think for this reason alone you have a lot FlexiSign users instead... personally Flexis interface is best when it comes to Signmaking software. But CocutPRO is STILL better when it comes to convenience for cutting from coreldraw, and its superior trapping functions. not ragging on Cocut...it just needs a newer better facelift... it COULD be better than what it currently is...and gain more users. (i have heard that a lot of users shun away away from cocut just because the way it looks.) ps...maybe anti-aliasing in the display windows also? like coreldraws enhanced view.

We have a new CoCut version, but it is not released in the United States yet. I think in about 5 weeks the new version will be available in the USA.
cool! will look out for it!
Horst, Any news on CoCut 11 for the USA people yet? Were awaiting it hopefully over here.
yeah...any news?
Hey, if youve got a Euro version that we could use, well take that! Heck, I dont need to be able to read the words to use CoCut! ;-)
Dear Kurt Dear Tim In week 19 we will be in the USA for introducing the new CoCut versions. They should be available in the USA beginning in week 20. Best Regards Albert Meyer EUROSYSTEMS Sarl
Albert, Will the new version be available as a download for users of CoCut 9?
I was considering CoCut-Pro for use with my Summa T750 and Corel but after reading this Im going to hold off until things get more up to date. Perhaps Ill take a look at Flexisign more closely...
Currently Cocut Pro updates are free to download.... and that BASIC cocut users can upgrade to PRO for a small fee instead of FULL PRICE since they already have the BASIC version. Do anybody know if this will still be the case when the NEW COCUT PRO comes out? Will I still be able to UPGRADE from BASIC (9) to PRO (new 10) for the same upgrade price? Or am I going to have to pay FULL price again? OR should I just go ahead and get PRO 9 right now instead? I am afraid i may not be able to get PRO 9 after PRO 10 comes out. just in case PRO 10 winds up bad or soemthing...kinda like CorelDRAW 10 and 11 (which are by far the worst versions ever...CorelDRAW 9 is still the best).
