Question:

Betreff: foto-cut and update of pro 9 | Name: Kevin Harrenstein (hkevin25@uswest.net) | 28.02.2002 18:31:28

OOPS!!!! I first placed this question in the wrong string. Sorry.

I have Corel 9, Smart Designs 9, and CoCut 9. My last updatefor CoCut was on September 2000. I have been trying to sell an idea using foto-cut. When I try to print a sample, all I get are the lines instead of black and white areas. After trying all I could think of I found an update on your web site. I clicked to download, entered my password from Sept. 2000, got a quick-time logo on my screen and then nothing until a broken quick-time logo appears.

Please help if you can.
Kevin

Hello Kevin,

Photo-Cut is not a tracing tool like Corel-OCR-Trace. If you search a tracing tool in CoCut Professional, you can use the "contour" function for black-and-white bitmaps.
The PhotoCut function generates an vector object from grayscale bitmaps with different dithering algorithms. Standard is "line dithering", which is very easy to weed. A vector object, which was created with PhotoCut still looks like a photo, if you look on it from a greater distance. But if you have a closer look on it, you will see lines (like you descibed).

I do not know, why you see a Quicktime logo on our internet site. We do not use Quicktime here.
